S. James Rickert, AFM, ARA, specializes in the development and maintenance of closed herd cattle ranching techniques. He works closely with biotechnology firms and health care specialists in determining suitability and production processes of bovine source material for products that are to be used in the human body.

Mr. Rickert has been the general manager of Ralphs Ranches, Inc., since 1981. He earned his MS Degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University and his BSc. Degree in Agricultural Business Management, with a minor in animal science, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He has received further professional designations of Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) and Accredited of Rural Appraiser (ARA) from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Mr. Rickert is also a certified HACCP trainer.
